ORGANIZACIÓN LÍDER EN RESPUESTA AL COVID-19
La organización PROCEED, Inc. Centro Nacional de Apoyo, Capacitación y Asistencia Técnica (NCTSTA, para sus siglas en inglés) es líder y pionera en la prestación de servicios de capacitación y asistencia técnica de vanguardia a organizaciones de salud sin fines de lucro; cívicas; religiosas; departamentos de salud; agencias gubernamentales e instituciones académicas, que buscan maximizar los recursos disponibles; el talento y las tecnologías actuales, para ser más eficaces, eficientes y auto suficientes.
En 2020, los Centros de Salud para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades (CDC), le encargaron a PROCEED, Inc. NCTSTA liderar una iniciativa nacional, para aumentar la capacidad de respuesta de las comunidades latinas en los EE.UU ante la pandemia del COVID-19, a través de la educación, la mensajería y el vínculo con servicios de apoyo; en los estados o segmentos de la comunidad latina, más afectados por el COVID-19. La iniciativa resultante es
PODER EN SALUD.
Este proyecto es una fusión entre PROCEED, Inc.; 8 Socios Principales además de otras 22 organizaciones adicionales, reclutadas por los Socios Principales para servir como afiliados locales en la tarea de desarrollar y difundir información en español confiable y de relevancia cultural, lingüística y situacionalmente apropiada para prevenir el COVID-19.
Promotores/as o Trabajadores de Salud Comunitarios (CHW, por sus siglas en inglés), proveen a la comunidad de atención presencial y personalizada, dispuesta a brindar apoyo en la prevención, pruebas y mensajes de vacunación para los Latinos/Latinx, vinculándolos con hábitos de salud, así como de servicios humanos y sociales que ayudan a mitigar el impacto negativo de la pandemia en su comunidad.
Colectivamente, estos Aliados buscan subgrupos Latino/Latinx en Florida, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Oregon, California, Kansas, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland, Washington, Texas, District of Columbia, Indiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Minnesota, las Islas Vírgenes y Puerto Rico.
PODER en SALUD se enfoca también en las poblaciones de riesgo dentro de la comunidad latina: condiciones crónicas pre-existentes; mujeres y familias; así como indocumentados; granjeros; empacadores de carne y aves; comunidades religiosas y adultos jóvenes.

NYLC offers a variety of paths to reach service-learning “excellence” through online content, customized professional development, tools, resources, and other capacity-building. Their mission is to create a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world, with young people, their schools, and communities through service-learning. NYLC is leading the way to address real-world issues with all young people, inspiring them to serve.

For 44 years, El Centro has been committed to serving the Latinx community through a wide array of services from childhood education, after-school and summer enrichment programs, promotores de salud programs, community health navigation programs, financial assistance, and advocacy programs, such as DACA clinics and citizenship assistance. Their mission is to strengthen communities and improve the lives of Latinx individuals and others through educational, social, and economic opportunities.
A nonprofit organization historically known as an HIV/AIDS service provider. Their mission is spearheading health advocacy for Latinx individuals, promoting HIV education, developing model prevention programs for high-risk communities, and by building capacity for community organizations in NYC and nationwide. LCOA is the founder of the Hispanic Health Network and several other national programs dedicated to eradicating health disparities among the Latinx community.

One of the largest Latinx community-based organizations in Rhode Island. Their mission is to help Rhode Island’s Latinx and immigrant communities achieve greater self-sufficiency and socioeconomic progress by providing transformational programs that support personal growth and social change. They have developed critical programs that serve as “models” for community agencies across the state and provide services that range from adult education to early childhood education, and other social services.
A non-profit community-based organization in Puerto Rico. They provide comprehensive specialized outpatient medical care and support services for HIV to more than 900 people living with HIV and AIDS who are underserved, underinsured, with low income, special and/or hard-to-reach populations of all ages, sex, and risk factors. PR CONCRA’s mission is to offer community health services that contribute to the optimal development of people with a model that guarantees access and quality medical care.

A leading healthcare services provider in Puerto Rico with 12 clinics strategically located in diverse communities to ensure that all residents, regardless of their ability to pay, have access to continuous and coordinated care that focuses on their needs. Their mission is to transform the quality of life of our patients, their families, and the community through an innovative, high-quality service delivery model characterized by respect, sensibility, inclusiveness, and humanity.

A non-profit organization in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The organization was founded in 2003 to fill service gaps specifically around adolescent health promotion and prevention services. ARCH's mission is to increase access to racially and culturally appropriate environments for the overall improvement of the quality of life in the U.S.V.I. ARCH provides technical assistance, and organizational management services, and develops culturally specific prevention programs for youth and young adults in the U.S.V.I.
